Can we talk more about this? I emailed Broome and he said that the Director had given no authorization to sideline my project in favor of Eclipse. He wants to talk to Pete about funding allocations. Whose orders did this come from?

Good morning Richard,
After thorough consideration and a conversation with Director Varlane, we have decided not to go forward with the STRUCTURE project and instead re-focus our efforts on the long-shelved Project Eclipse. Doctor Allen has been given lead on this assignment, and we would like you to support her on the data analytics arm. She is going to need comparison data on a number of markers. I have instructed Adrienne to email you directly about this.
To that end, I spoke with Howard LeMay earlier today, and he is going to be forwarding you the encryption key to the Linderman Act registration database of genetic information. Please be advised that the database access key was given under the conditions that we use this discreetly as it is not a DHS-sanctioned project. Howard will be working on his end to ensure that any questions asked of our remote access be forwarded to his office.
I expect you to assist Doctor Allen to the best of your ability and look forward to your results.
